Saturday I decided to surprise the girls by taking them to Chuck e cheese. I loaded them in the car and told them I wasn't going to tell them where we were going, that they had to wait till we got there. Along the way Kayla would guess by saying: "Were going to the Dairy bar" or "I know, it's the library!" I would slow down and pretend I was going to stop at some places just to trick them. Finally, we pulled up to McDonald's and I asked Kayla to go put the Redbox DVD in the machine. When she got back in I said, "Wasn't that fun?" She looked at me funny. And I said "Wasn't that a fun surprise?" Kayla started getting mad and was like "That was not my surprise!" But then she looked at me like maybe she believed me. She started getting a little huffy and puffy until she realized I was turning onto the interstate. At which point she realized I was just teasing and that I wasn't going home. So she quickly regained her smile and when I pulled up to chuck e cheese the girls started screaming, followed by both girls saying "Do we get to go in?" I had to laugh at that because they must think I'm really mean to tease them about chuck e cheese and then not let them go in! I'm not that bad ;) Anyway, the girls were excellent, especially for a wild and crazy Saturday where the place was packed with kids. And little miss Hailey just slept the whole time, she is such a good baby!
Friday night we all went to the parade together as a family and Brad had the great idea of taking the girls to the fair afterwards. Of course they wanted to ride every ride, but we just gave them a certain amount of tickets and explained that after they were out that that was it. They were really good sports and didn't wine after the tickets ran out (it would have been nice to do the wristbands but we weren't staying that long.) Anyway, even though Callie's tickets ran out, that didn't stop her from getting more rides. I guess all you have to do is be cute at that age and say "I want another one!" Because the man operating the ride gave her another ride for free and she was the only one on it. She tried to say the same thing again after he stopped the second time but I told her no that time. Even though she could probably talk that guy into giving her rides all night for free I didn't want to abuse his kindness. Here are some pics from the night.

Well back to the sickness I was talking about earlier. After all our weekend fun, Callie started getting pink eye on Monday and just as that was clearing up, I woke up with horrible pain early Wednesday morning (Like 2:00 in the morning). I started getting sicker and sicker and was in so much pain, I thought maybe I was passing kidney stones. I finally went to the emergency room after I decided I couldn't wait four more hours for the clinic to open. It turns out it was just a really bad bladder infection. I'm glad that I went in though, because it was so bad by the point I went in who knows how much worse it could have gotten. And I definitely don't want it spreading to my kidneys, I have had a kidney infection before and they are awful. Anyway, my medicine is helping so much already and I'm just so thankful I'm starting to feel better. So hopefully we are all done with being sick for a little while.
