This morning we had a yard sale, which went awesome except for the fact it was burning hot! Yeah, we could have probably done a lot better if the weather had cooperated. But Misti and I were still able to get rid of a lot of stuff, so that felt good.
After the yard sale we headed up to Beebe for Brad's cousin Holly's wedding reception. It was gorgeous! The food was delicious, the decorations were awesome, and I loved getting to spend time with family and catching up with them.
I loved the "natural" look to all the centerpieces.
The Apple Julep was a yummy drink!
The grooms cake: (Evelyn and I never could decide if we were supposed to eat the strawberries off it or not, but we did anyway, ha ha!)
The buffet:

Hailey patiently waiting for a piece of cake:
Funny story*
All Hailey could think about the whole time was getting a piece of that
big pink cake. She even went up to Holly and John with a plate and fork
when they were doing the traditional "cutting of the cake", and asked
for a piece! Kayla was mortified and was like "Mom, get Hailey!" Of
course I was busy gabbing away with family and hadn't noticed she was
photo bombing the bride and grooms moment.
Congratulations you two! We are so happy for you both.

Callie's turning 7!
Callie's birthday is coming up quickly, and in honor of her seventh birthday I wanted to get some close-ups of our little cutie. Callie has grown so much since she has started school last year. When she was a toddler, she was our energetic little ball fire that I could never calm down, but now she is really changing a lot. She has learned to be very calm and respectful. She has loved learning and her teachers can't say enough good things about her. It is very important to her that she pleases those around her. She tries so hard to do the right thing and feels great disappointment if she feels like shes let anyone down. She's quick to apologize and always willing to share or do what I ask. I can't say enough good things about her, she has so many awesome qualities already at such a young age, I know that she is going to grow into a very special young woman.
The most amazing gymnast ever...
Callie wanted me to post a video so her Nanna and Papa in Wyoming could see her new tricks. And while I was at Brynlee decided to show off her new talent too.

Back to School
We had a blast this summer. Although we were super busy all summer long, I am proud of the girls and how much they were a help to me. I have to admit though in between Brad working, me working, both our callings at church, kayla's basketball/volleyball camps and daily practices, gymnastics, vacations, weddings and birthdays; I am ready for a break from summer, lol! I put in my last day of work last week, and so now it will just be Hailey, Brynlee and I at home during the day. I'm excited to be able to spend some quality one on one time for them. And these two girls were super excited to go back to school and see their friends.

Kayla's trip
Last weekend Kayla was able to go up with her friends to the lake and to celebrate her friend, Valerie's birthday. There were seven girls that were able to go and they had such a blast. We are thankful she has such good friends to spend time with. I know they are making memories that will last forever.

Watermelon Festival/ New Gym
We had a busy day today. This morning Grandpa and Grandma Shelton took Callie and Hailey to a town a couple hours from here to go to a watermelon festival! They sent us lots of pictures showing the good time that they had, their only complaint was that it was 100 degrees, so I was glad I had stuck the girls in tank tops.
Having fun on the bouncy slide:
All the watermelon they could eat! And they even brought us home a giant one.

This was just a pick of me and the girls enjoying an icee earlier in the week, trying to cool off
This morning we also hosted a baby shower over at the church for one of the members of our branch, Dorothy Kelley. All the Shelton ladies were the hosts (Me, Misti, Jillian, Debbie and Mary). We had a pretty good turnout and I think she was able to get a lot of nice things for her baby girl.
For the host gift we all went in together on a stroller and carseat combo. Thanks everyone for coming!

In the afternoon we went over to the grand opening of the gym/multipurpose center for the high school. It was beautiful, the pictures seriously do not to it justice, I've never been in a gym so nice. I feel very lucky our kids get to use it growing up.
