Our Springbreak Trip

This springbreak we headed to Branson.  We went with just me and my girls at the start of the week, and Debbie and her mom (Grandma Ray) joined us a few days later.  With Brad just starting his business it wasn't really a good time for him to try and get away.  Our condo had a nice playground which the girls loved spending time on.

Checking out the resorts lobby:

Of course the first item of business was swimming!  That was all they wanted to do.

On one of the days we shopped at Branson Landing which is a huge outdoor mall, its lots of fun and the girls love the boat and watershow.

There is another playground at Branson Landing that we always have to make sure and stop at.

This was on the balcony of Debbie's condo, it was just beautiful!

When the pool was closed, we made good use of the hot tub as well.

We had a nice exercise room as well, that helped us burn off a weeks worth of fast food!

First night meeting up with Grandma Ray and Grandma Debbie, they treated us all to dinner.

Kayla's room:

Love the colors!

Grandma promised the girls that they could go to either the disney store or build a bear, and they all picked build a bear.  They got to make some pretty cute animals.  Callie picked a bunny, Brynlee a puppy, and Hailey picked a "My Little Pony".

The girls even got to see "Frozen" on a giant inflatable projector at our resort.

This last one is from church in Branson.  I am so proud that each of my girls went to their classes like big girls and they were so excited to find out that the Branson church knew the same songs as our church!  I thought that was pretty cute when Hailey said that.

Mormon Prom

As most of you know that I am the Young Womens President for our Branch, so I get to help out with a lot of the activities and things that the youth in our church are doing.  This month they had a prom for our church and it was specifically just for the girls and boys 16 years of age and older.  Since it was a church dance, it was very important that they all were modest.I was so proud of the girls in their selections and thought they turned out beautiful!  Two of the girls came over to our house a little early and let Kayla and I do their hair and makeup.  I did Candices on the left and Kayla did Erica's on the right.

Here is a group shot before they headed out.
These are just some of the older kids that were able to attend, we had several that couldn't go.  Also, I just got called into the Stake Primary Presidency Sunday morning, so it looks like I will be embarking on a whole new adventure.  I don't know how much longer I will get to work with the Young Women, but I do know it has been a life changing experience for me.  I woke up crying the morning after I got my new call, just at the thought of having to leave them.  I have gotten so attached to all of them and learned so much from each girl. I have heard the saying that the more you serve people the more you love them.  It is so true, this calling has been more time consuming than any I have had up to this point, but it has made me so invested in each of these young ladies and made my love for each of them so strong.

New Beginnings

Last night we had our New Beginnings program for Young Womens. I decided to go with the theme "Diamonds in the Rough", I saw the idea online and thought it was a great one. We had a spiritual message on how we can be refined into beautiful women through our Savior Jesus Christ.  Just like diamonds are refined into beautiful jewels through extreme temperatures, pressures, crafting, cutting and polishing.

I loved how the table with their pictures on it turned out.

The dessert table was yummy, peanut butter fudge, cupcakes, brownie pops, brownies and cookies.  We sugared them up!

Our table that displayed the different awards and things that the girls can earn.

We are missing 3 girls, but this is most of our group.  Sure love these girls!
