Update

Just a quick update, I had a doctors appointment today and everything looked and sounded great! Baby's heartbeat was strong and the doctor says it's a mover!  I already knew that because I actually felt some light flutters a couple times last week.  I told Brad I thought it was the baby,and of course he thought it was to early.  But my doc confirmed that I totally could have felt it, especially with it being my 4th (since I know what it feels like ;) Ha!  So yay for baby movement!

Also, I just wanted to document some of Hailey's words that she is saying at 12 months.  She doesn't always say them consistantly but these are words she has said several times:
1. Dadda
2. Momma
3. Papa
4. Stop! (and she holds her little hand out, we taught her to do this when Callie comes around)
5. Uh oh
6. Jesus (she learned this one from pointing to the picture at church)
7. ba ba (she says this when she wants milk)
8. Kayla (she doesn't say this exactly right, it sounds more like Aaya (you know Kayla withought the "K").

But the very cutest thing she does is she whispers all the time.  She just whispers jibberish, but it is so sweet. I don't know where she learned it.

This week

I haven't been up to a whole lot this past week. Actually it was a pretty laid back weekend which was nice.
We have had one big change this past week though. Last week I was able to completely ween Hailey from nursing, so we were all excited about that. Originally, I was going to keep breastfeeding while pregnant, but because I wasn't gaining weight and Hailey wasn't gaining weight, I thought it might be best to quit (that way I could be more sure we were all getting the nutrients we needed). My nurse also told me that it can actually stimulate contractions and with my history she thought it would be best to stop nursing as soon as possible.  So that pretty much sealed the deal for me. (Although a mouth full of baby teeth can be enough incentive by itself ;)
 A few weeks ago, I started working with her on it, but it wasn't going good at first because she didn't seem to like milk at all.  But I kept persisting everyday and just kept offering it to her, because one thing that I've learned as a mom is that even though your kid may hate something one day, they may love it the next.
And sure enough one day she just took a whole bottle from Kayla like it was nothing.  So I got excited and offfered her a bottle for the next feeding as well.  She took it great, and didn't even cry that whole day.  So I just kept giving her bottles for fear of confusing her by trying to do both. Well, that ended up being a bad mistake because I ended up getting a headache for about 4 days and getting really sick and nauseous.  I thought that was really weird and didn't remember feeling like that when I quit breastfeeding Callie.  It turns out, after I looked it up on the internet, that your not supposed to quit breastfeeding cold turkey.  It's to fast of a hormone drop for your body and it's hard on the baby too.  Ummm.... whoops.  Wish I would have read that before hand.  It says your supposed to slowly do it over like 7 weeks, not two or three days.  Oh well, I feel back to my normal self now.  I knew something was up, because i have felt excellent this pregnancy, and didn't think it was very likely that I would be getting so sick from the pregnancy all the sudden at 12 weeks along.  So I am going to ask my doctor about it tommorow when I go in.  I'm just happy to be rid of that headache.  So note to all you moms out there, do it gradually!

Last of all I just wanted to throw in some pictures of Kayla at a couple different birthday parties that she went to this summer.  She sure has had fun with her friends. (In this first picture she is 2nd from the right side holding a girl on her shoulders, and the next one she is in the middle).

1st day of School

Today was the first day of school for Kayla.  She is going to be in 5th grade, it is her last year at the elementary school and then she is on to middle school.  She looked so pretty and grown up this morning for a 10 year old.  She is a beautiful girl. Brad gave her a father's blessing last night for the school year and then afterwords we talked about all the new and exciting things that would be happening this year.  We also talked to her about how some of her friends are getting older and are going to be experimenting with new things. And she she needed to decide now whether she was going to be a leader or a follower and what she was going to do in those situations.   She said "You mean, PEER PRESSURE?"  We kinda laughed.  She just didn't believe us that 10 year olds might ever try to do anything they shouldn't. It's so sweet to see her be that age and be so innocent minded.  I can only hope that she finds good friends and be a good friend as she begins her adolescence.

And one addition this year is new glasses! Of course Kayla was excited to have glasses, she has wanted them for so long.  LOL!  She is a funny girl.  I actually thought for the longest time that she was making up that she couldn't see, because I thought she wanted them so bad.  But I noticed her squinting frequently when she didn't know I was watching, and I thought, well I better take her in.  Good thing I did, because she did need them.  She sure looks cute in them. I know you can't see them that well in this picture, but they are silver rimmed and then the side of the frames are pink w/ purple on the inside. She even had me bedazzle her glasses case with her name and diamond peace signs ;)

Surprise! I'm 11 weeks pregnant with baby #4.  (And yes, it is a surprise to us all)

Daytona Beach

Before we headed out of Florida, we had to make sure we got in a stop at the beach since none of our girls had ever been to the ocean before.  So we headed over to Daytona Beach which wasn't to far away.  It was a beautiful afternoon.  We had fun playing in the waves and looking for seashells on the beach.  Hailey of course did not want to go in the water (she has had a sudden aversion to pools the last few months).  However, after about an hour sitting on our beach towel, she started to explore in the sand and once she did, she loved it.  She kept wanting to eat it, and it was hard to keep her from putting it in her mouth.   Kayla played in the ocean pretty much the whole time.  And Callie had fun doing a little of both.  She made a sand castle and Daddy even made her a mermaid tail.

The rest of Disney World

Besides the fun breakfast that Callie and I were able to go to at Disney World, we were also able to do a lot of fun things later that day.  Brad, Kayla, Hailey and Uncle Craig, Jillian and Charlotte all got to explore Magic Kingdom.  It was hot, but the babies were excellent.  And they didn't mind sitting out on a lot of the rides with me since I get motion sick.  They even took a little nap while in the shade.

For lunch we were able to eat in a place called Crystal Palace.  It was so nice to get in the air conditioning!  They also had all of the Winnie the Pooh characters that were going around and visiting the tables.  Kayla and Hailey loved it, however, Callie is not in any of the pictures because she was hiding under the table, LOL!  We didn't know she would be scared of them until we got there. Oh well, the rest of us enjoyed it anyway.  They even brought Hailey a birthday cupcake and had all the characters sign a card for her. 

The breakfast that made all our dreams come true...

The morning that we were scheduled to go to Disney World, I got the special privilege of taking Callie to a Royal breakfast with all the Disney Princesses.  I thought that $80.00 was awfully expensive for breakfast for two people (considering how much a 3 year old eats), and I hoped that it would be worth it.  But anyone that knows Callie well, knows that she LOVES the disney princesses and it is almost all she talks about.   Well, I was in for a treat, because not only was it the best thing ever for her, I ended up having the greatest time too.  For all you moms out there that have a little princess, it is a must to take your little girl here if you come to Disney World.  It was so much fun!  Here are some pics of us in front of the Magic Kingdom castle where the breakfast was.

Once our names were called, the beautiful Cinderella entered.  And each little girl got to get her picture taken with her and received a professional photo package that was included with the breakfast. (These are not the professional pics just ones taken with Brad's camera phone, since my camera flash died on my camera).

They had beautiful music playing while we waited for our breakfast to arrive and waited for the arrival of the other princesses.  All the waiters were dressed like the coachmen from Cinderella.

Our food was so yummy! Callie had eggs, bacon, french toast and fresh fruit. And I had cream cheese stuffed french toast topped with strawberries and whip cream and we both had an assortment of danishes on the side.  Ha ha... I didn't hold back did I?

   
While eating an announcement was made as each princess would enter the room.  One came in about every 10 minutes, so there was plenty of time to greet each one individually.  They came up to each table and worked their way around until they had taken photos with every child.  We were the second table that each princess went to which was nice because it would have been hard for Callie to wait.

 

Callie was surprisingly very shy and reserved during the whole meal which is so unlike my bouncy giggly little girl who can never hold still ;)  I think she was just in awe and taking it all in.  She just looked longingly at each princesses for the longest time, it was the cutest thing.  At the very end of the breakfast they gave each little girl a wand and had a wishing ceremony.  Callie finally got back to her normal self and began to dance and wave her wand around the room.  She was so happy, I'm so glad we got to go.

 

I will try to attach a few little clips I took of her with my camera.  Hopefully they work. I didn't get any footage of her actually talking to the princesses because I was busy taking pictures during that, but I tried to record after each one came to her table.

During this last one I was talking on my phone while recording her, so don't mind the nonsense talk ;)

Florida: Hailey's birthday and Downtown disney

On Tuesday while we were on vacation Hailey turned one year old!  I can't believe the year has flown by so fast.  We have loved every minute of it.  She is such a good baby and has just the sweetest disposition.  Everyone who meets her just wants to kiss on her.  We had a small celebration at Grandpa and Grandma's the night after her birthday at their condo where she opened a few presents and we all had chocolate cake, yum.

On Hailey's actual birthday we decided to go to a nearby mall to do a little shopping.  Cheesecake factory happened to be attached  to it, and since it was Hailey's birthday, well she just had to go there ;)  Here are some pics of her enjoying some cheesecake,I might have enjoyed it a little too.  I can't help it that we both have the same taste in deserts.

We also had a little time back at our condo for her to open a couple gifts from us.  Callie and Kayla made sure we had on our party hats for the big event.

Happy Birthday sweet baby girl!

Later that night, we went to Down town Disney because Grandpa and Grandma had been at the Cirque De Solei show and Craig and Jillian were going to go after them.  So all of us were going to shop around while they were at the show.  We had a lot of fun.  They had street performers, musicians, good food and some cute stores. None of us held back we just danced in the street with them.  The girls loved it.

While shopping we found a Downtown Disney store.  I thought it would be a good idea to get each of the girls something from there to remember their trip by.  I had no idea it was going to be as crazy as it was.  I have never seen such a crowded store in my life!  There were kids and tourists everywhere.  We still found our souvenirs though.  Kayla got a necklace and Callie got a autograph book for all the Disney princess's to sign and a Tiana doll.

There were so many beautiful things it was hard to not walk away with more. Callie also got  to get "fairy dust" on her (glitter sprinkled on her hair and body).  She saw the other little girls getting it done and wanted to do it, but once it was on she started crying and didn't like it because it wouldn't come off.  It was pretty funny.
