Kayla Hunting

Kayla shot her first deer of the season this past weekend over on her Grandpa's 80 acres while she was hunting with her dad.  She is such an awesome hunter, we are so proud of her! Way to go Kayla.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great Thanksgiving with the Shelton family this year, even though a lot of us ended up being sick with colds, strep or stomach flu.  I guess it's just that time of year ;)  Wednesday night Jillian brought our nieces over to our house to play with our girls.  We made some fun Turkey hats and watched a Christmas movie together.  Charlotte looks like she could be Callie and Hailey's sister.

Yet Olivia and Brynlee look nothing alike.  They are such happy little babies.

We celebrated Thanksgiving over at my in laws house with Brad's brothers, Craig and Jillians family, Uncle Steve and Brent, and Grandma Ray and Hal. Debbie had everything so nice and the food was delicious!

Fast forward to Christmas...

Okay, I know I know... technically it's not even Thanksgiving yet, but we couldn't stand it any longer so we put up our tree!  Part of the reason is because I am impatient, and the other part is because I love Christmas.  I usually make myself wait until after Thanksgiving, but when I was telling Brad's grandma this, she said "Why? Just do what makes you happy, do what you want to do."  So we did!  And the girls love it.

This picture shows her two new bottom teeth so well.

We couldn't resist putting Brynlee in the GIANT stocking that we had and antlers from last year.

Somehow Brynlee fell asleep in the middle of taking pictures and then woke back up for more, ha ha...

Great Blog

So because I love seeing other people's creative ideas on places like pinterest, I decided to share a blog that I found on there.  It is called The Small Things Blog, and it is about a professional hairstylist.  She has a lot of great tutorials on there and information about good products, but she also has a lot about fashion and other fun ideas that she shares.  So check it out, I think you'll like it.  I got this cute hairstyle for the girls off her blog.

Just relaxing at home

The girls all had colds last week (including me) so we did a lot of relaxing at home this past weekend.  Brynlee is starting to really get around.  She is trying to pull herself up on things and has fallen over a few times.  She loves this piano in the girls room.  If I stand her up to it, she will just stand there and play it for quite a while before she falls down.  It's pretty cute. (I love her little tippy toes).

On Saturday the girls were looking for something to do and I told Kayla that when I was little me and my cousin used to make our own doll houses.  So Kayla thought that was a great idea, she spent several hours making this rockin barbie house for Callie.  Callie loved it!

I also decided to just let the girls do whatever they wanted that day and not make them clean up after themselves (well I still made them at the end of the day, ha ha....) but they loved tearing the house up.  They had out every toy they owned by the end of it.  This picture is BEFORE the real fun began.
I think they liked just being crazy.  I'm usually always so quick to clean up, they loved making a mess.

It's good to be back...

So I just have to say, that it feels so good to not be pregnant!
Brad and I were talking about it, and it feels like I have been pregnant or transitioning through pregnancies, ever since Brad and I got married.
Let me paint you a little picture here.  I found out that I was pregnant just 3 weeks after Brad and I were married.  Most pregnancy tests don't even say that they you can find out that fast, but some how I did and I was indeed pregnant.  Yes I am very fertile.
So my new husband pretty much never even got to enjoy my thinner self, because I was pregnant from the get go. When Callie was only maybe a year I found out I was pregnant again.  I ended up only carrying that baby for 3 1/2 months, but because it was a partial molar pregnancy and had to be taken, I had to go through lots of testing every month for the whole year following and a lot of other yucky stuff (so that was not a good year for me).  They told me I had to wait a year to get pregnant again and  I was pregnant with Hailey just a little before that year mark was up :)  When Hailey was around 9 1/2 months I became pregnant with Brynlee (while nursing).   So that pretty much explains why I feel like I have been pregnant forever... because I have.
Anyway, now that it's been several months that my body has been back to normal and I have actually got to do some shopping again for myself.  It just feels so nice to know that my body is not going to be a yo-yo  anymore, and that I can just enjoy being me and enjoy fitting in my clothes again and knowing that I get to stay like this. Did anyone else feel like this after they were done having kids?  It just feels nice to be able to run when I want to run and bend over when I want to bend over.  Having children is hard on a body and I am thankful to have mine back to myself, ha ha.  Although I must say all the sacrifice was worth it for my four beautiful daughters. It was worth every pound I gained and every pinched nerve I endured :)

While the hunters are away... the girls will play

Brad and Kayla have been hunting ALL day so while they were gone, I got to enjoy my day with the younger ones.  We had a fun and relaxing day at home.  The girls got a lot of undivided attention, and I got a chance to catch up on my scripture reading and lesson for Sunday.

Gee you can't tell they are sisters can you?  I can't believe how much they look a like here.

And Brynlee was giving me lots of pretty smiles all day.  Her temperament has really calmed down a lot more since she has learned to scoot and crawl around and walk in her walker.  Now she will actually entertain herself.  She loves to chase Callie from room to room in her walker while they both giggle. She has two teeth poking through on the bottom now too and they are so cute.

Last Day before Nanna and Karren had to leave....

There were a few more pics, but I might use them for a Christmas card, so I won't be posting those :)
