Pumpkin Patch

Our town had a pumpkin run/pumpkin patch today.  We didn't run, but we did head over to cheer on our friends and we had a blast decorating pumpkins, playing in the bouncy house and the girls favorite was the corn pool!

Getting ready for Homecoming

Homecoming here is a big deal.  And by big deal I mean girls wear dress suits, carry mums, jewelry and fancy shoes.  Moms wear mums.  Girls buy boys a big basket that they deliver to the school that includes monnogramed blanket, monnogramed towel and lots of other goodies.  You also decorate their locker and have a practice, picture session, afternoon ceremony and evening ceremony.  Followed by the parade the next week that needs posters as well.  I thought all of this was alot and then we found out we would have not just one but two daughters going to homecoming!  Hailey got asked to be the attendant for the Queen.  So then she needed a dress and cheer outfit as well.  I FINALLY got think I have it all together.  Now we are ready for next weeks festivities to begin !

Oh and I forgot somewhere in there the kids will have Bubba's barbecue truck at the park for the homecoming court.  It will be fun memories for sure!

Kayla's volleyball team

Kayla is full swing into the volleyball season.  Her team has improved a ton from last year, they are really a lot of to watch.  I can't wait to see what they can do when they are Seniors.  We have been spending a lot of our time at Volleyball games.  Since they build our new gym the home games seem to have almost doubled.  We went to a game every night this last week.  The girls love cheering for Kayla!

County Fair Day

Since the county fair came to down the girls got to dress up in their western wear for "Western Day" at school.  They looked pretty cute!

After school we had a parade and the all the Shelton girls were lined out on the street catching their fare share of candy.

 After the parade was over we stuck with our tradition and headed over to the fair.  The kids loved that their cousins came too, they had a blast and it was the perfect weather!

Stake Primary Activities Days

As most of you know I am serving in the Stake Primary right now and one of the fun activities that we get to plan for the year is Activities Days.  We had a blast planning it and we centered all our classes and activities on one of President Uchtdorfs messages about finding the "sweetness" in everyday moments.  Anyway, we had a blast and I think the girls did too.  We made family home evening kits, candygrams to give away for service and played minute to win it games.  President Johnson shared a spiritual message with the group and then we had some yummy lunch!

Brad's work picnic at Magic Springs

Brad's work payed for their whole company and their families to go to Magic Springs and Crystal Falls waterpark.  It was so much fun, and it was even better because my mom got to be there with us! They had a yummy barbecue picnic for us right when we got there.
