Branson

We just got home from our annual trip to Branson. Debbie and her mom reserved the condo for a week, so they invited our family to go up and use the first part of the week.  That was so sweet of them, and of course we accepted! The first day we got there we decided to go to the Discovery Center in Springfield again, since Brad missed out last year.
The girls love being able to explore different things:

Callie asked Kayla and I to help her build the tallest tower we could!

Digging for dinosaur bones:

Hailey's hair got stat-icky, but Brynlees did the best, I missed out though because I had to recharge my camera.

Kayla's start to a gigantic bubble:

Silly Hailey:

Hailey's dream job, "working at Walmart":

The girls each printed their own news article with their picture and hung it on the wall.

A quick puppet show:

After that Brad dropped us off at the mall, where we found my favorite place ever!

We mostly found stuff for Kayla, but the girls had no problem entertaining themselves while Kayla tried on things.  Hailey is going to be a shoe-aholic I can tell already, because she loves trying on womens shoes and goes straight for them in every store.

Eating at Steak-n-Shake:

The condo was very nice.  It had 4-5 pools, an arcade, exercise room, walking trails. and there was tons of space.

Kayla even got her own room!

Checking out the balcony:

The little girls shared a room and loved eating popcorn and watching movies in their own suite.

Their favorite out of all the pools was the kiddie pool because even Brynlee could touch.

Kayla and Callie being silly blowing up their swimsuits:

I love her face when she is jumping, she's such a cutie.

Gymnastics

For this past month of July we have put both Callie and Hailey in Gymnastics classes. I promised them that they could do it this summer, but I have not yet decided if we will keep going with it during the school year. It is an awesome program and gym, so we definitely have no complaints there! We are just not sure we will have time for it during the school year with Kayla being on two of the high schools jv teams and also with my new calling as Young Womens President. So we will see, but for now they are having the time of their lives.

Hailey on the balance beam:

I did not tell them to pose like this, evidently this is how you pose when you are a gymnast!

She's a natural!

Mummyfied

Today at the library the girls learned about mummy's during storytime. They were all very interested, but Callie was just mesmerized when they said that there were real mummies in Egypt. When Callie learned how they were made, she became increasingly concerned and got up every few minutes to ask me questions like: "Is it true that there are real ones? Will they make me a mummy when I die?" She was very worried. After some reassurance that she would not be turning into a mummy anytime soon, the librarian announced that we would be wrapping each other as mummy's for a contest. LOL, Callie was not having any part in that! Luckily cousin Kennedi didn't mind being wrapped at all.

Misti's girls came over to my house to play afterwords, and we were very excited when our friend Rhelinda called and invited us all over to her parents pool to swim!  It was beautiful and was a fun unexpected outing.
Hailey was unsure about jumping in.

But Brynlee was not scared at all, and probably had me catch her 30-40 times.  She was a jumping bean!

Misti's cruise ship, lol!

Papa and Grandmas house

Sunday morning I was surprised when my husband asked me if I could come a few minutes early to church to meet with him. I knew that he mentioned there would be new callings at church that morning, but I had no idea that I was the one getting one. I was asked to be the Young Womens President.

My eyes started watering when he asked me, probably because I was a little overwhelmed how I would have time to do a good job. But after some reassurance from him that he would help and that others would be able to help with my kids, I accepted. I am really excited and think I will have fun working with all the youth again, especially on Wednesday nights. Later that night, we went over to Billy and Debbie's for dinner and to play on the hay that had just been cut. We decided we needed to get a picture of all the cousins (minus baby John).  I can't believe we got them all to hold still long enough!

Kayla and Callie love jumping from hay bail to hay bail!

Silly girl

Another one of the cousins:

They wanted to see if they could move one with Papa's help, and they did!

Of course once the sprinklers kicked on, they all had to get sopping wet.  Did I really expect anything less?

Also, I wanted to add a quick story about Hailey, because I thought it was pretty cute.  When we were eating lunch yesterday, we were talking about all the different jobs she could do when she grew up.  I told her she could be a teacher, lawyer, work at the mall, be a doctor....  I asked her what she wanted to be (thinking that she would pick work at the mall).  She proudly said "I want to work at Walmart! I started laughing and said "Walmart, why walmart?"  To which she excitedly replied "because then I can get all the free cookies I want!"   Lol, hey you can't argue with that.
