My birth experience
Well I had planned that Monday was going to be an uneventful day. Brad had the day off of work and the girls still had school, so we were going to go out for breakfast together and then we were going to spend the day doing last minute things to get ready for the baby coming. I was supposed to be induced Tuesday morning as most of you know, so that I would be in the hospital when I had our baby since I am known to have really fast labors. My original doctor was going to induce me at 37 weeks since I was already dilated to a 4 and contracting so much, he didn't think we would make it to the hospital from Lonoke when labor actually did set in. But as most of you heard, I lost my doctor that week and got switched to a new one. So the new one didn't feel comfortable inducing me that early. Which I don't blame him, I realize a lot of women push their babies births to be early when they don't need to. But I HONESTLY feared that I wouldn't make it there in time, and this just terrified me. So as you can imagine the past couple weeks I have been so careful to try and keep my contractions calm.
Well, I thought that we made it in the clear, because we just had one day left before I could have her safe and sound and no more worrying. I had had no contractions that night and was feeling good. I decided to wake up at 7:30 and take a shower since Brad was going to take the girls to school. After getting out, I had several contractions just within that 30 minutes I was getting ready. They were just normal, nothing different than I had been feeling, but since they were close together I decided we better not eat breakfast where we had planned (30 minutes from our house in the opposite direction of the hospital). Brad got back at about 8:10 and I told him that I wanted to eat breakfast in Little Rock, so that we would be close to the clinic so that I could get checked if the contractions didn't slow down. Well, in the next 5 minutes we were getting ready to go, something in me just told me we needed to go right then and go to the hospital first. Brad I think thought I was crazy, because I did not look like I was in that much pain and I had not been contracting that long. I think he wanted me to make sure I was in labor first. But I could just tell it was getting worse fast. So he called his mom and told her "We need to go to the hospital" and she got there within 5 minutes. We left Lonoke at 8:20 (it takes us 20-25 minutes to get to the hospital usually). I called the hospital (so glad I did this in hindsight) told them I have very fast labors and that we were coming. I asked that they had a wheelchair waiting for me down stairs and a room ready. On the drive over, I could just tell that she was so close to coming and I started going into shock a little bit I think. I started just praying out loud and saying "Please Lord just let us get there" over and over. This might have made Brad speed just a little :) My hands started going numb and I really just felt like I was going to pass out. I just felt so panicked. We got there at 8:40, where two nurses were waiting, and wheeled me upstairs while Brad was parking the car. I ripped off my clothes with the door still open and put on my gown in lightning speed, ha ha... and the nurses walked in just as Brad did. The nurse told me to lay back and checked me and I was completely dilated and the baby was right there. They grabbed a doctor that happened to be in the hall and Brynlee was born exactly 3 pushes later at 8:54 (14 minutes after we pulled up to the hospital). They were putting my IV in as I was pushing and AFTER I had Brynlee I heard someone say: "I still need the mom's name."
Looking back, it was really all to much for me to take in. I hate to say this about one of my childrens births, but the memory of it is not a good one for me. It was just more than I could take. I just felt like I was having the worst panic attack ever during the whole experience So please don't anyone say "Your so lucky you have short labors."
Afterwords I just kept thinking... we were so close to having her in the car, and what if she wouldn't have been breathing? Or what if I would have had something go wrong? The memory of the whole experience still just upsets me. Hopefully I will feel better about it with time. I'm sure I will. In the end, I feel so blessed that the Lord was watching out for us and I really feel like he did answer our prayers that we were able to make it there. She is absolutely perfect and beautiful and I feel great and we are both doing really well. We were able to go home just 24 hours later. So I really truly do feel blessed. She is just such a sweet spirit already and we are both so excited to have her in our home. Here are some pictures from the hospital:

Final baby bump picture
Here is my final baby bump picture.... forever :( Wow, that makes me kinda sad I must admit. But Brad and I both plan on being done after this. We found out I will be having her on Tuesday, four more days! My doctor feels it would be best mainly because I am dilated to a 4 already and have a history of precipitous labors, so this way we will be safe and sound at the hospital when labor starts. Here is my picture at 38 weeks:
Now I'm not trying to brag, but I have to record this for my blog book. This has been the best pregnancy so far, for a number of reasons:
1. It has gone really fast
2. I haven't had morning sickness once
3. I've had no problems other than dilating a little early
4. No heartburn
5. And best of all.... wait for it....... NO WADDLE! Ha ha ha.. (well I do limp when my back pinches a nerve though)
Can't wait to meet her.

Valentines Breakfast 2011
This morning I kept up with my moms tradition of having a valentines breakfast for the family. The girls decided that they wanted to wake up extra early so they could have it with their daddy. So we all got up at 6:00. It was yummy! We also continued our own family tradition of doing the girls hair for valentines day. These are the hairdo's that Kayla and Callie picked out last night. I don't really know what I'm doing, but did the best I could. They were happy so thats all that matters ;) Happy Valentines Day everyone!
Hailey was not in the mood to take pictures!

Murder mystery dinner
We had a Murder mystery dinner for a social get together for our branch tonight. Debra Rial put it on and she did such a good job. She had the whole place decorated so nice and had put so much attention into all the details. The dinner was excellent, some of the women from the branch made it and helped serve it to everyone. I think everyone had a blast. The theme for the night was "Murder High Reunion", it was the class of 1985. I was Bobbi Bright the class valedictorian turned lawyer (hence the cap and gown) and Brad was Mike Majesty the prom king.
Sister Thompson was Cindy the "class flirt". Her and Brad were trying to figure out who did it.
My Father in law Billy was Danny the "band kid".
My mother in law made some of the food and helped serve it, but she sure had some rockin 80's style going on. Aunt Mary was "Molly Ringworm the drama queen".
I applied blue eyeshadow as thick as I could possibly get it, thick eyeliner and hot pink lipstick and pink blush. Ironically in this picture I can't see any of it. Maybe it was the flash? Ha ha.... wierd.
The main cast: Jordan "the bully", Janae "the flirt", Brother Williams "the mathmatician", Elder Hatch "class president", Billy "band boy", Jason "hall monitor", Alex "the jock", Aunt Mary "drama queen", Mike Rial "movie director", Blair "the cheerleader", Me "Valedictorian", and Brad "Prom King".
Aunt Mary and Uncle Kenneth. Mary turned out to be the killer. I never would have guessed, I sat with her the whole time.
At the end of the night they gave out some awards. I won "the drama queen award" for my dramatic acting skills. (I must get it from my mom) My prize was a box of candy that was popular in the 80's.
Thanks again Debra, everyone had a lot of fun!

Not going anywhere...
Well Arkansas got dumped on with snow this week. I have to admit that I did not think we would get snow again! The girls have had two days off of school so far, and we will see if they close again tommorow. We have been playing a lot of games, being lazy and having fun riding grandpa's four wheeler. I haven't been riding it though, I have been taking it EASY. Especially since the Interstate is closed down (my way to get to the hospital)! Last week I wasn't sure how things were going to go since I was dilated to a 3 and 90-100% effaced. But the doctor said I was the same this week, so for now all labor progression has stopped. So that is good. So we will not be inducing any earlier since it has stopped for now. (He was going to induce if I got to far dilated because he wanted to make sure I would not have a baby in the car, since my labors go really fast once they start.) For now it looks like she will be here in about 19 days. We are getting so excited! Here are some pictures of our Winter wonder land.

You know your about to be a mom of four when...
You actually look forward to staying in the hospital because:
1. Someone else will be cooking all your meals for you.
2. You get to bond with your baby in peace and quiet.
3. You get to lay in bed all day and stay in your pajamas.
4. Someone comes at your beckon call (well the call of a button anyway)
5. You actually consider going to the hospital as a mini vacation.
Okay, this post is really sad, I must really need a vacation ;)

Kayla's tumbling class
Kayla has been taking a tumbling class here in town on Wednesday nights. She has been working on her back hand spring, back tucks, and layouts. She's made some good friends and has really had a lot of fun doing it. Here are some pictures and video of one of here practices.
