Okay, so maybe that's not how January is spelled, but that is how January feels. I have never been a fan of January, probably because it means Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas are over (my favorite holidays). And it means that it's going to be a while before anything fun happens again. It's cold and kind of boring. But the thing that I love about January is that is the beginning of a New Year and that is great for me because I am all about goals. I am constantly setting goals for myself and trying to meet them, that is just something that I enjoy doing. So my/our goals for this year is to be able to slowly start working out again (provided my neck problems will let me), sell our house, find a new house and decide whether I want to work again in the fall. So lot's of big changes for our family hopefully, and we will just see where life takes us! Brads side business has been picking up the last couple months, so we are just kind of feeling it out, it might be better for me to work for him in the fall than to work for someone else, but we will just see.
Other than that we have all been doing good. I'm still working for Hippy. Still in the Stake primary presidency and things are going to start picking up for that very soon. We have been asked to go around to the different units and give talks in addition to the dates we will be visiting them for unit conferences, so I see a lot of traveling in my future. Our stake boundaries are huge and some the areas I have been asked to go are anywhere from 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 hours away, so that is going to make my sundays interesting. But I LOVE the ladies I work with and they have become true friends, as have my coworkers at my job.
Brad has been staying very busy. He is still working for Falcon Jet full time and spends a few night a week working at his lab. He is still serving as bishop for I think his 6th or 7th year (I've lost track). He is enjoying it and we are enjoying watching the girls in their various activities.
Kayla has started junior olympic volleyball again. This was her first tournament this weekend, and we were unable to attend, but hopefully we will get to watch her soon. She is playing on the 17 year old team this year (she is 14), so it will be challenging for her, but I think it will be a good challenge.
Callie got character kid for her school this month. She was recommended for being optimistic. We are proud of the hard work she is doing, She is becoming a good reader and speller and most nights I find her in her bed surrounded by about 7 chapter books. Because why read just one at a time? :)
Hailey loves going to preschool. Out of all the kids she was the one that wanted to go back first after Christmas break. She gets along so well with her teachers and enjoys doing art work the most at school. She definitely has a creative/ artsy streak. She is so funny to be around and watch. She marches to the beat of her own drum, that is for sure. She's constantly cracking me up with her silly faces she makes. You can often times find her talking to herself, pretending to cast magic spells or trying to be sneaky about something.
Brynlee, my baby. She's supposed to turn 4 next month, but how can that be? She still wants me to carry her on my hip, still wants me to feed her at meal time and yes, still asks for a sippy all day long. You could say that I have babied her. Okay maybe I still baby her, but she's my baby so what else am I supposed to do? I'm going to try harder though to help her become more independent this year because even though she's tiny, lets face it she will be starting kindergarten next year!
I was also able to go to Callie's awards ceremony at her school and see her receive the all A honor roll. We are so proud of her and all her hard work in school this year..jpg)
