Kayla's school had a pep rally the other night.  These are some of the girls from her high school volleyball team. They are all growing up so fast!

Callie's Baptism Dress pictures

This week Callie is turning 8 years old.  We are so happy for her that she has chosen to be baptized.  We wanted to take some pictures of her before her big day.  This first picture is of Callie wearing Kayla's dress.  She really wanted to wear it for the baptism, but it wasn't in the best condition and was a little long for her, so we talked her into getting her own. The rest of the pictures are of Callie's baptism dress. 

We are so proud of our sweet girl and the beautiful young lady she is becoming.

Back to school

 This week brought a lot of changes for our family.  The girls went back to school and I started working full time for Hippy.  I will be a home based educator.  I've worked there a week now, and I am loving the ladies and loving the job so far.  I think it will be a really good fit for our family.  I get to drop the girls off at school in the morning and am done just in time to pick them up, so I don't really miss any additional time from them than I already would have with school back in session.  And our office is in the Elementary, so that is a plus as well, because I am right close by.

This year is Kayla's first year in High School!

Callie got placed in a class with a teacher we didn't know, but she seems really nice. Callie didn't know anyone in her class but just one boy, so she will be able to make a lot of new friends this year.

 Hailey's teacher is one of Kayla's volleyball coaches, so we already knew her and were really excited that Hailey has her.  Hailey has been so excited to go every day and happy as can be when we pick her up, she is going to have a great year.

Right now Brynlee is going to her aunt Mary's daycare, she calls it her "school".  Everyone comments how happy she is and how well she plays with the other kids.  I think she likes feeling like she's big like her sisters.

Mustang

I wrote this story on facebook already, but I wanted to put it on here for my family that doesn't have it.  Almost 9 years ago, Brad sold his mustang, which was pretty much his favorite thing.  He sold it to help us finish college and pay for the arrival of our first baby, Callie.  I swear I saw tears in his eyes, he said he didn't.  But regardless, I told him "You'll get your mustang back someday baby."  Well today was the day that he finally got his mustang.  He is so excited and it has pretty much everything he wanted.  And he has been letting me drive it around :)

Pool Party

Tonight we went to an end of summer swim lesson pool party at Mrs. Susans house.  The kids had so much fun!  Their were kids everywhere and water everywhere and so many cute decorations.  Their swim teacher really did everything up nice for them.

Hailey's frozen party

We got home from girls camp after midnight and then had a swim meet for Callie that morning, so I was really scrambling to get Hailey's party ready by afternoon.  But we made it and it turned out so fun.  I have been really wanting to do a frozen party for the girls, pretty much ever since it came out.  When I started planning it there wasn't hardly any party supplies in the stores. So I ended up making most of it, but that was okay, because I had fun doing it.  My favorite was the hanging snowflakes all over the room.

Rather than buy $30 frozen dresses for each of the girls, I decided to try my hand at making them.  Turns out I'm not the best at making sleeves, since Hailey's kept falling off her shoulders, lol, but they still turned out pretty good. The girls liked them anyway, and it was only $9.00 to make all 3.

They played "Frozen" bingo.

And for the prizes they won crowns.

They had a race to "build a snowman".

They made their own Olaf's.

They went on a frozen scavenger hunt that used lyrics from the songs as their clues.

At the end of the scavenger hunt they found their treasure!  Wands for each of the girls (I found this idea on pinterest).

Although we didn't have the healthiest snacks, they were cute for the theme.  We had "melted snow" (punch), "Snowman snack mix" (pretzels, raisins and marshmallows), "Sven's ice chips" (potato chips), "Snowballs" (white donuts), and "Olaf's nose" (carrots and ranch).
