Easter Weekend

We had a great weekend.  On Saturday, Keith and Misti's daughter Kennedi was baptized.  That was really special, especially for Callie, since those two are best friends and cousins.  Callie will be baptized in September, so it was nice for her to see what it was going to be like.
Last night Kayla got to go to her first Super Saturday since turning 14.  It was a 7 hour event that consisted of workshops, dinner, concert and dance.  So we took turns as leaders switching on and off at the event.  Kayla didn't know that I had shown up for my shift and she was out on the dance floor dancing, I slowly just dance towards her moving and a grooving and clapping my hands right beside her.  Her friends noticed me before her and were looking at me like "Who is this crazy lady?"  When Kayla looked over, she about died of humiliation.  Ha ha... just how I like it. :)  Anyway, she had fun, and wasted no time developing several crushes.
This morning we woke up for Easter Sunday, we cooked a nice breakfast together as a family, the girls searched for their Easter baskets and last we read the Easter story out of the bible.
I'm so thankful for my Savior for His Atonement and Resurrection and for my forever family.

Church Spring Social

Tonight we had our spring social for church.  It was a dessert auction for a girls camp fundraiser, and we raised over $600!  I think that was a record for sure.
I got the ideas for the decorations off pinterest, I wasn't sure the easter egg trees would stay up, but they turned out great.

Nearly every seat was filled.

After dinner we had an easter egg hunt for the primary kids.

I love this pic of my niece Olivia.

And this is my cute nephew John Michael.

One of the whole group.  We could really use some boys in our primary, lol!

Easter Egg Dyeing

Tomorrow night we are having a Spring Social for church, so today I got some of the goodies ready for it and got it all decorated.  I just love doing that kind of stuff.

Tonight Craig and Jillian had us over for egg dyeing for FHE.  The girls got more on their hands and clothes than on their eggs, but they had a lot of fun doing it!  My favorite part was when I wasn't watching and Olivia dumped out a whole cup of dye on my foot.  I thought the dog was peeing on me, it was pretty funny.

And it didn't matter if any of the girls accidently cracked the eggs, because Kayla had no problem eating them. Ha ha...

Easter egg hunt

My friend Jeribeth always puts on a great Easter egg hunt for her church and she invited us to come.  The kids had a blast, and it was such a beautiful day for it.

Dentist and the Old Mill

I checked Callie and Hailey out of school today so they could go to the dentist.  It was Brynlees first time that she was old enough to go, so she was very excited for her first visit.  I am super lucky that we have such an awesome dentist and also that I have such good girls, because all 3 of these girls LOVE going to the dentist.  And when I say love, I mean that is all they could talk about last night, you would think they were going to chuck e cheese. Kayla had to miss out because she had benchmark testing this week. Anyway, afterwords we decided to have a picnic at the Old Mill before we went back to school.  Such a warm and beautiful afternoon!

And this pic is one of me and Brynlee from a while ago, but I wanted to include it in my blog book.

Mckays Mission Call

Tonight Kayla had a sleepover at a friends house for her volleyball tournament in the morning, and the first thing the girls wanted to do was "Sleep in Kayla's bed!"  Of course I let them, she'll never know right?  At least not until she find the popcorn kernels in her bed.

This morning I had the chance to volunteer at Callie's school for a traveling agricultural exhibit that they had for the kids.  It was a lot of fun, and I liked seeing how proud Callie was of having her mom and sister there with her.

They got to go through the human body!

And the last bit of exciting news that I have is that my youngest brother was called on a mission to the London, England mission for two years to serve as a missionary for our church.  I'm so proud of him and the choices he has made and especially of the good young man he's become.  He called  us and put us on speaker phone when he opened his letter, that was special getting to hear him read it. We love you Mckay!

Stake Primary Presidency

I drove to Searcy today and got to meet with our new Stake Primary leaders.  I'm excited to work with these ladies and I know we are going to have fun together.

Spring is in full bloom here in Arkansas and we have been enjoying the outdoors.

When Hailey saw all the white stuff on the ground she said "What is this!"  I told her it was popcorn popping from an apricot tree, she thought that was pretty funny (mormon joke).

Kayla has started her track season.  This week she had a meet here in our town.  She got second in the 400 and and first in the 1600 relay!
