Prom 2016

I thought Kayla and her date Jace looked absolutely beautiful for prom.  I was very proud of her and she had a great time! 

Lowes, Clinton Library and School

A couple weeks ago we went to the Lowes Clinic to build birdhouses.  My girls love to go to their activities, they are little carpenters like Grandpa! 

 That day we also went to the Clinton library and they were having a big kids event, the kids got to do crafts, dancing, got tons of free books, face painting and visited storytellers.

Hailey won an art contest for her school a few weeks ago and as her reward she got to be a special cafeteria worker.  She loved it!

Dance Pictures

Since I didn't end up ordering dance pictures this year, I decided to take my own of the girls in their costumes.  They are pretty sweet little dancers!

Kansas Turkey Hunt

Callie had the chance to go on a special youth hunt with her dad in Kansas this year.  Although she didn't get a turkey, She got a close encounter with some and just couldn't quite get a good aim on any.  But she still had a lot of fun learning and spending one on one time with her dad. 

Brad went down the following week and tagged out with his two and several of the other Shelton men got some turkeys as well.  This year he smoked the meat and injected it with cajun marinade and it turned out really good!

It's Springtime!

I have been having some fun with the girls spending some time outside.  Last year when we moved into our house it was blistering hot, so we never really got to see what it is like in the spring. It is really fun, our yard has a lot of little animals in it.  We have been making birdhouses and fairy gardens, to attract more of our little friends.  So far our favorite have been our Robins and red birds.  This is the girls fairy garden, they each got to pick out and paint their own house.

When we moved in, I knew there were several things that we needed/or wanted for the house, but it's not feasible to get them all at once, so we have slowly been working little projects at a time.  A new patio set was one of the things that I really wanted.  So it was fun to finally get one a few weeks ago, so we can enjoy some dinners outside.

Kaya wanted me to take some pictures of her and Hailey while they were sitting out with me on Sunday:

 Hailey said: "Why are you taking my picture, I don't want to be a model... I want to be a cowgirl!"  Ha ha....

Easter Sunday

 Brad and I went to a car show in North Little Rock last week.  It was a huge turnout.  My dad and brother would have loved it!

 I also had the chance to take Callie fishing for her school field trip.  We didn't catch anything (might have had something to do with the ten plus kids I was helping fish, detangle and unhook their skin, lol).  But we had fun!
