Memorial Weekend and Olivia's birthday party

We had a fun time getting together with friends and family for my niece Olivia's 3rd birthday party!

This one cracks me up!

Miss birthday princess!

Summer time!

This will be the last full week of school and then it's summer time, and that means Wyoming time!  I'm so excited! It was 92 degree here already yesterday, so it will be nice to spend a little of this hot season in Wyoming.  And when it's a hot here, the girls love to do nothing but swim, swim, swim.

Callie's Spring Music Program

I loved getting to watch our little Callie perform today.  She looks up every few minutes to find me even though I was like halfway up the bleachers.  We got to watch Kennedi perform too, they sure were sweet!

Mothers Day

On mothers day I woke up to have Brad bring me breakfast in bed and I received  lots of cards and goodies that the girls had made me. They sure made me feel special.  Brad also got me some beautiful roses and took me out to dinner later that week.  I'm so thankful to be able to be a mom.

Fishing Derby

This morning we went to a fishing Derby in a nearby town.  Papa, Misti and her girls and uncle Kenneth were all able to come with us.  It was a little cool and we only caught 1 fish. But we sure had a fun time!  They fed us lunch and between all the girls we won 2 gift certificates to Hurley house, a skateboard, Minie Mouse bubbles, waterguns, and bucket with toys. That's my favorite kind of fishing derby, the ones where you bring home prizes instead of fish, lol!

Misti and Raegan

Raegan with her Papa.

Cousins

I babysat Raegan today and Brynlee loved having her cousin over to play with her all day.  These two played non stop for 2 hours in the kids room, when I finally talked them into at least coming out for a snack.  I think they play better than any of the other girls do.

Kayla's 8th grade graduation

We had Kayla's 8th grade graduation this week and she will be on to high school in the fall!  She has officially passed me up, I don't know where we are going to find jeans this year when school shopping.  She had a checkup at the dr.s office and they said that her growth plate had not closed yet and he predicted 2 more inches of growth.  If that is true she will be 6 ft 1!  We are excited for her, I'm hoping she stays active in volleyball and gets some good scholarships!

Kayla and her friend Conner Linton, they've had a picture every year together since like 3rd grade.

Kayla and one of her best friends, Maddie Pool.

We sure are proud of our girl!

My little ballerina

Today just Brynlee and I were at home enjoying our day, we didn't have to go anywhere or do anything besides picking up the kids.  She was dancing around and singing her little heart out at the top of her lungs and enjoying dressing up and playing by herself.  I just sat and thought how blessed I am to have her.  She is such a happy little girl.  From the moment she wakes up till the moment she lies down she is almost always happy.  Her favorite thing to say right now is "Yes Maam!"  No matter what I ask her to do, big or little, that is her reply.  I really don't ever have to get after her, she's not a fit thrower and only cries if she gets hurt.  She wakes up right when I ask her to, lays herself down for nap time, and goes to bed when asked.  Really obedient for a 3 year old, I hope she always stays that way :)

Ellisons birthday

Our little neighbor turned 1 year old last week. I am good friends with her momma.  Ellison is a little miracle baby, so we are so happy with how well she is doing and growing and thriving.  And of course Amber had everything done up so cute and fun!

8th grade dance

Tonight Kayla had her 8th grade dance.  This year they had it casual, which I liked sooo much better.  I can't believe she's going into high school in August!  Where has the time gone? I couldn't pick which one I liked the best, so I'm posting all of them.  That's what happens when your so photogenic I guess.  And just so you know Kayla got her bottom braces on the day before, so her mouth was hurting her super bad and so her lips were swollen from that. She wanted to make sure I included that :)

Field day/ Farm fun

Today was a welcomed fun day after a somewhat stressful week.  A member of our branch died this past week from cancer and we are good family friends of theirs, so that was hard.  Then as I'm sure most everyone heard, Arkansas had some devastating tornados this past week as well.  I'm always anxious during tornato warnings, but this one was particlarly hard because it was close by our town again. We also found out that 2 of the people that had died had been friends of the Shelton family.  I know I shouldn't let this stuff get to me so much, but I just watched the news and cried the whole next morning.  I try to tell myself that it wasn't me, but somehow it feels like it was me?  Does that make sense?  I just can't help but think of those poor families and those little kids seeing their dad get killed.  It just feels so close to home and really makes your realize it could happen to anyone.  Anyway... enough of the sadness.

Today was Callie's field day and we were able to stop by and play some games with her for a little bit.  They even got me to hoola hoop!

After that we headed to a ranch for a Hippy program party.  The kids got to paint a live horse!

They loved petting the little chickies.

Brynlee didn't know what to think of the lamb.

They put milk in these gloves and the kids got to milk the udders into the bowl, they loved it!
