Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone!  We had a great one.  We had a pirate, rapunzel, a pumpkin and a kitty this year.  Hailey changed her mind a million times (while we were dressing up) of what she wanted to be.  When I finally convinced her to just be a princess like Callie she threw a fit when she saw that I was making Brynlee a kitty.  She wanted to be the kitty, so that is what she ended up being last minute even though all we had was a tail and ears.

A lot of little girls that saw Callie would say "Look at Rapunzel!" "I want to be Rapunzel."  That made Callie feel really good.

Our pretty pirate has loved getting to wear make up several times this week :)

Love this one!

Brad had the great idea to pull his dad's little trailer with his four wheeler.  We had our own mini hayride.  It was a blast.

Kayla with her friends Lindsey and Taylor.  Kayla stayed at the McFadden's for a while, while we trick or treated.  After we took the little kids home, Brad went back and gave a ton of Kayla's friends rides on the hayride.  It was a great night and so fun to have Nanna and Karren with us!

Kayla's Halloween Party

I will never forget my "Witch Halloween Party" that I had in middle school, and I hope that Kayla never forgets hers.  We had WAY to much fun...  I will let the pictures do most of the talking:

Debbie made these little chocolate mice, they turned out so good!

Sandwiches:

My pumpkin cream cheese cupcakes:

Kayla with her friends (not all the friends are in all the pictures, because some weren't there yet.)

A close up of the table.  My spray painted pumpkin was a hit, (don't ask me what possessed me to decide to spray paint my pumpkin.)

The ghost tree that Kayla, Karren, Callie and I made.

The prettiest witches I've ever seen!

Posing before the party.

Eating some snacks:

Kayla modeling her false eyelashes:

Group Hug!

Aunt Karren and Brynlee:

Playing Truth or Dare and Bingo:

These two are two peas in a pod!

Telling scary stories:

Brianna's awesome witch costume:

Lindsey and Valerie

Me and my sissy:

The girls even went on a Scavenger Hunt and we scared them to death!

With this Handsome Creature!  ha ha... he jumped out and scared them with a chain saw noise when they went out in the dark to get one of the clues.

They all had a good laugh about it once they were safe inside.\

And last of all they watched "Hocus Pocus".  Thanks for coming girls! And thanks Grandpa and Grandma Shelton for watching our other little girls.

Nanna and Karren are here!

My mom and Karren came down for Halloween and we are having so much fun with them.  The kids just love spending time with them.  Brynlee didn't know what to think of all the new blondes around the house.

Callie got to dress up for her preschool today and she chose to dress up like "Sleeping Beauty".  I think she will end up wearing 3 different costumes with all the different activities that she gets to go to this year for Halloween.

Weekend with family

Craig and Jillian came down this past weekend and brought their two little girls. It was sure nice seeing them and getting to spend some time with them.  Jillian brought the girls over on Friday and they played for hours.
Cousin Charlotte is on the left in this picture:

Here is one with all the Shelton grandaughters:

And of course the momma's.  Kayla insisted that she take a picture of us.

On Saturday we went to the Rials farm for a church get together.  It was so fun.  Debra had everything planned out to a tea.  These first pictures are of the girls "bobbing for Donuts."

Hailey just looked at it like "get my donut off that string and just give it to me already!"

Debra had an eating area set up with hay bales for us to sit on.  There was some yummy Chili and other fun Halloween snacks.

Grandma and Papa took turns pulling the girls around in this wagon.  Brynlee loved that thing.

After everybody had left, Hailey decided she would try bobbing for an apple.

And then Callie went back for more too.  They kept spitting the water out everytime they would get some in there mouths.  I kept saying "Don't spit in it, that's where everybody puts their mouths!"  Good thing everybody was done with it by that point.

Some of the yummy food. Notice the chocolate covered mice on the front right.  Debra acted like she was eating a mouse in the next picture.

Last of all we had fun decorating pumpkins and going on a hayride.
