Snow days are fun at first, but after the seventh snow day in a 10 day period, everyone can start to go stir crazy.  But on the last snow day, I decided to relinquish my ideas to how the day "should have gone", and instead we just enjoyed the present.  We had a GREAT Day.

We played together, crafted together, tromped through the snow, built a snowman, watched movies and snuggled with hot cocoa. And at the end of the day I thought back on their giggles and smiling faces. Right before I fell asleep my little girl sighed and said "your the best mom ever." And that right there was worth every snow day we've had!

Brynlee's Fairy Party

Brynlee picked Tinkerbell for her party theme this year.  I wasn't going to throw her a party, with all that has been going on, but my mother in law told me to just throw it at her house, so I took her up on that offer!  It ended up turning out super cute and was not much of a hassle at all.  Thank goodness for the dollar store :)

I made the cupcake wrappers and toppers from printables online, and found the cute idea for the trapped fairies in the jar from pinterest.

Tinkerbell herself!

Instead of playing games, we decorated fairy houses! The girls loved it.

She wore her fairy costume all day!

Brynlee was so excited to get the new Super power barbie toys that are coming out, with the new movie that will be out in March.  The girls are counting down the days!

Brynlee turns 4!

Our sweet baby Brynlee turns four tomorrow.  *Sigh* Everyone that knows me, knows that I love babies and toddlers, and what am I going to do when I don't have one anymore? She's turning into a little girl.

Things that we love about Brynlee right now:

~She loves to "one up her sisters".  If she knows they want it, then she wants it too!
~She has very good self esteem.  She tells me things like "Callie and Hailey are going to be so happy when they see me!"  Or "EVERYBODY loves me mom."  When we take the girls to school in the morning she says "Everybody's looking at me, everyone thinks I'm cute."
~She does not like to be alone.  She won't even walk into a room most of the time if she knows no one is in it.  If her sisters finish eating before, she will cry for someone to come sit with her till she finishes.
~She lovingly pets our faces with the softest caress and sweet smile at least once a day.
~She still asks for a baba (a.k.a.) sippy cup when she goes to bed.
~Sometimes I'll hear her say something mean to one of her sisters like "I'm going to punch you Callie!" and I'll say sternly "What did you say?!?"  And she quickly says "Or not!"

She definitely keeps up laughing that's for sure!

SNOW!!!

The girls were so excited when they woke up the other morning to find we had snow! It was only a little, but we got a little more tonight. We had almost given up all hope that we were going to get any this year, especially since it was like 75 degrees a few days before that and the birds were chirping and my flowers were sprouting. But winter is here!  We even got a few snow days out of school.

Daddy Daughter Dance

Callie and Hailey were able to go to the daddy daughter dance with their dad at their school tonight.  They had so so so much fun!  I loved getting to watch them this year.  I volunteered to help (so I could sneak a peak too). I don't think I've ever seen them have that much fun dancing.  It was like a primary school prom! I don't know how Brad will manage next year when he'll be dancing with three!

More changes

Another change for our family is that Kayla started driving yesterday!  I can't believe the time has come.  Seems like she was just in elementary school.  She passed her test first try, so she was super excited about that.  She wanted to drive right when I picked her up from school, and I thought "well now is as good as time as any."  So I let her pick up the little girls from school with me.  When we pulled up to the school Callie was walking out with Hailey, as soon as she saw Kayla in the drivers seat, she turned herself right around and started going back into the school.  The teacher said she said: "I'm not getting in that car!"  LOL.  I thought that was pretty cute.

Brad is released

Today Brad was released from being the Branch president of the Lonoke Branch in our church. For those that are not members of our church, this is a similar role as a pastor or bishop. He served just short of six years in this calling. I am so thankful to him for the time and service he put into it and for the great example that he has been to me. There were things that he did each week such as leading the congregation, taking care of business etc. But there was so much that he did that was unseen, but that I saw being his wife. I've seen him leave at 11:00 at night after a long days work to go rescue someone that is stranded several hours away. I've seen him take his lunch breaks to go visit or give blessings to those that are sick. I've seen him mow yards, fill up gas tanks, repair things and serve in countless ways. He did all this unpaid, while trying to work and care for his family. He is a great example to me and I'm so thankful to have watched him grow over the years through his service. He has been so busy these last couple months that I know this will be a good break for him, even though I know he will miss it. s  mile emoticon \

Fun at the zoo

Today was a beautiful warm day here and we had no plans for the day so we decided to venture to the zoo!  I have been itching to go for a while now.  I don't know why but I just love taking pictures of the animals.  It is just relaxing and fun to me for some reason.  The girls were so excited when I surprised them, they were just thanking me over and over.  I think we have been to cooped up this winter even though it hasn't been a very cold one.
